Why Do We Get Acne And Pimples?

Diet is the topmost influencing factor that determines the state of your skin. I had the habit of hogging on junk food like most women my age. The intake of fried and junk food led to the deterioration of the quality of my skin.

Another factor that causes pimples is the overuse of cosmetic products. The harmful chemicals in these products cause breakouts and other issues like pigmentation, blemishes and dark spots.

Staying up late can lead to the accumulation of toxins, which leads to acne due to an imbalance in the natural circadian rhythm and stress metabolism.

Not regularly cleansing your face also causes acne. If you leave your face dirty and oily, the dirt and oil clog the skin pores, and this results in breakouts. Sometimes, using cleansing products that are loaded with chemicals can also clog your pores.

Finally, hormonal imbalance causes acne. The elevated hormone levels during puberty, menopause, or even during menstruation can cause breakouts. Even pregnancy-related fluctuation in hormones can cause pimples.
